Holding on

I had been having dreams of needing to find a toilet & getting lost in mazes or finding a toilet, but it is so disgusting & putrid with excrement everywhere. When I could use it, the flush wouldn’t work or it will come back up spilling everywhere.

I finally worked out what it is trying to tell me.

When we eat food, healthy or not, our bodies process it & produce waste products which are flushed down the toilet. We don’t keep it, hold it, store it otherwise we would become sick. It’s in the past. We let it go without another thought…

Yet this is what we do when we hold grudges, painful conversations, hurtful accusations. We hold this pain rather than processing it & removing it from our bodies & psyche. It’s not healthy. We’re not meant to hang on to past negativity. it holds us back, weighs us down, creates stress & tension.

It clouds our perception as we now filter the world through this pain, shame & confusion. Shame that maybe they are right in what they said. What if I am that negative thing? Confusion – how do I process this and the guilt that I’m now harbouring negative feelings towards them?

We do this to protect ourselves, I’ll hold this ‘bad’ thing so I remember that person hurt me so I won’t let it happen again.

It stops us evolving as we are locked into thought patterns & judgements from the past. It stops the other person evolving as we lock them in this tight container of ‘bad’ as is projected from our past memories that are not infallible & only from our limited perspective. We’re not giving them or ourselves a chance to learn & grow.

It becomes hard for beauty, love & joy to flow as is our natural state.

Let it go! Remember we are all learning. No one is perfect & hurt comes from hurt. Stop this painful cycle by choosing a higher perspective to process the pain & let it go!Allow yourself to discard past pain because you too are human & make mistakes & open up the space for new ideas, concepts, growth & evolution

Practice: see all the hurtful comments you have been holding & allow them to be processed in your body, excremented & flushed away.
